The History of Rollo "the Walker"

Rollo, known as Rollo "the Walker", was a Viking chieftain. He is significantly remembered

for his role as the founder of Normandy. Rollo led his Norsemen in raids along the French coast before eventually settling in the region. In 911, he negotiated a treaty with Charles III, the Simple or the Straightforward, king of West Francia, which granted him land in exchange for his loyalty and protection against other Viking incursions. This pivotal agreement marked the beginning of the transformation of the Viking raiders into feudal lords, leading to the establishment of Normandy as a prominent political entity in medieval Europe. Are there any viewpoints you would like to share?
