Easy Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Things aren't going well in the city of Swellview after the Toddler discovers he's been tricked and there's no mint chocolate chip ice cream to enjoy. After all, you shouldn't become a grumpy villain, because we've provided a delightful minty chocolate chip ice cream recipe to assist you through Valentine's Day and the rest of the winter. Experience a bit of indulgence, excluding the villainous behavior. There's no better time to do so than Valentine's Day!

Easy Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

4 cups heavy whipping cream, cold

2 cans, 14 oz sweetened condensed milk

1 to 2 teaspoons matcha powder for green color, if preferred

2 teaspoons pure peppermint extract

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

2 cups chocolate shavings of choice or dark chocolate

Ingredients and Preparation for Chocolate Shavings

A substantial block of a chocolate of choice or dark chocolate (approximately 12 ounces of chocolate or 3 standard, 4 oz chocolate bars).

Use nitrile gloves if there's a sensitivity to latex or simply use latex gloves if there isn't sensitivity present, so the chocolate will not melt due to the warmth of the hands.

Ensure that the chocolate is at room temperature, as cold chocolate does not peel effectively. A vegetable peeler or shaver generally utilized for cheese will make creating the chocolate shavings simpler. To create the chocolate shavings, press the peeler or shaver against the block of chocolate and gently motion from the top, then downward, and repeat. Each chocolate shaving will vary, so there is no need to worry regarding consistency. Practice will be supportive towards progress. Refrigerate the chocolate shavings until they are needed.

Instructions

Chill a large glass or metal bowl in the refrigerator for half an hour before making the ice cream recipe, whether it is a separate bowl or the bowl included with a stand mixer.

Next, place the heavy whipping cream into the chilled bowl. At that point, quickly whip the cream utilizing a power hand mixer or stand mixer equipped with whisk attachments on high speed. Proceed to whip the heavy cream until it begins to display peak formations.

In an additional bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, pure peppermint extract, pure vanilla extract, and matcha powder until the ingredients are thoroughly combined. Delicately fold the sweetened condensed blend into the heavy whipping cream with a silicone spatula.

Then add the chocolate shavings and gently and evenly fold them into the mixture.

Pour the mint chocolate chip ice cream mixture into one or two metal loaf pans, cover with aluminum foil, and place in the freezer for up to 6 hours or until the mixture turns into a solid form.

Transfer the ice cream into an airtight container and store it in the freezer to enjoy future servings.
