Pear Sorbet Recipe
Ingredients
4 ripe pears, peeled and diced (seeds removed)
2 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (approximately 1/2 a lemon's juice)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
In a blender or food processor, combine the diced pears, frozen banana slices, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon (if using).
Blend until smooth, scraping down the mixture with a silicone spatula as necessary.
Taste the mixture and adjust the flavor if needed, adding more lemon juice for tartness or cinnamon for warmth.
Transfer the mixture to a container and freeze for about 1-2 hours, or until firm.
Before serving, let the sorbet sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly, then scoop into bowls.
Enjoy!
This refreshing pear sorbet is naturally sweetened by the ripe pears and bananas, making it a healthy treat to savor before summer ends or, if it's your preference, prepare this recipe throughout the pear season's duration!
