Welcome to the Astrology Resource
Astrology is an ongoing practice that involves the assessment, interpretation, application, and documentation of the influence of celestial bodies on earthly beings, which was first recorded as an astrological system by Babylonian civilization. Just as astrology evolved and progressed in ancient times through various collaborations and contributions, it continues to advance in modern times, reflecting a legacy of development through diverse methods, experiences, and cultures. Practitioners, or those who regularly engage in the art of astrology, believe they gain insights into human affairs and events by examining the cosmological realm. In particular, Natal (Genethliacal) astrology requires a solid foundation to accurately interpret the natal chart and to implement organizational suitability, necessitating precise details about an individual. This includes the Year, Month, Day, Time, and Specific Geographical Location of birth, which can typically be found on a birth certificate. Accurate data may also be located in an individual’s birth or family record book or obtained through Vital Records. If documentation or medical records are unavailable, one may inquire with close relatives or family friends for information. Otherwise, alternative methods and principles will be utilized.
Cognitive Astrology
What does a cognitive approach to self through astrology entail? A solid understanding of oneself serves as the foundation for deeper insights. If a person lacks awareness of their astrological (zodiacal) makeup or struggles to interpret it effectively, this may lead to persistent difficulties in relationships and various experiences. While certain aspects of life are beyond our influence, it is comforting to recognize that there are pathways to achieve a more harmonious comprehension of the events occurring in one’s life, thereby becoming better prepared to utilize this knowledge across all areas of personal growth, whether in relationships, inner development, or other concerns.
Eastern Astrology
This regional branch of astrology consistently employs the Sidereal (Nirayana) method, utilizing calculations based on the constellations in the sky. This approach is recognized for its astronomical precision, owing to its comprehensive cosmological representation of precession (Ayanamsa), which highlights the differences between the Sidereal (Nirayana) and Tropical (Sayana) systems. While there are notable cultural distinctions when compared to Western practitioners, the Sidereal system is regarded as enduring through time. Integrative Studies and Arts is educated and knowledgeable in both Jyotish (Vedic) and Western astrological practices. Notably, the Eastern system is considered the most authentic representation of the origins of astrological systems. Although Integrative Studies and Arts engages with Vedic, ancient, and traditionally holistic knowledge, it is reasonable to aspire for a respectful integration with Western experiences. Nevertheless, all individuals are invited to join the community, and this acknowledgment does not diminish the capabilities of the Western system. The Western system served as the initial foundation of astrological knowledge, linked to the founder of Integrative Studies and Arts. Integrative Studies and Arts maintains a modern presence and recognizes all historical and contemporary contributions to astrology. The following elements are commonly found in Western practice:
Elemental Energies
Astrology refers to the zodiac, which is a belt-shaped region of the sky. In the context of astrology or horoscopes, there are twelve zodiac signs that correspond to the twelve divisions of the year, each defined by specific dates within four, triplicities that embody the characteristics of individuals born during those particular time frames. These twelve zodiac signs are associated with four fundamental elements. The four elements are fire, earth, air, and water. This association may further elucidate the energy and representation of individuals who share the same astrological (zodiac) sign and element. The four elements are recognized as the foundational forces of life and its vital energies. Below are some initial descriptors and challenging aspects of the four elemental energies, their associations with celestial bodies, polarities (extroverted or introverted), and the corresponding astrological (zodiac) signs:

Astrological or Zodiac Signs
In the preceding text regarding elemental energies, twelve astrological or zodiac signs were mentioned. These signs are often used as a reference for the archetypal characteristics associated with individuals born within specific time frames and dates. The astrological (zodiac) signs are symbolized by representatives of the heavens, primarily from the animal kingdom. Energy can be viewed through the lens of polarity. Strength can be understood in terms of modes (modality). The dates provided below are approximate.
